California Marijuana Tourism Starts with Flow Kana

Now that California is selling marijuana legally and since everyone perceives marijuana in Humboldt and Mendocino County to be the best, all of the ancillary businesses are filing in. California marijuana tourism is expected to be big and Flow Kana is laying it stake to this vein of cannabis business.
Flow Kana started as a delivery service and now owns The Flow Cannabis Institute, but it will not be growing any cannabis on the site they now plan to allow the paying public to come visit in Mendocino County. Guests will be able to stay at a pot friendly bed and breakfast and will be able to “taste test” different strains of cannabis.
A craft cannabis brand called Flow Kana is building a marijuana processing and manufacturing hub on the site of a former winery in Mendocino County. The company purchased the 80-acre parcel once owned by the founding family of Fetzer Vineyards for $3.6 million in 2017.
Much like a winery that hosts tours and tastings, the Flow Cannabis Institute will build experiences around the operation. Visitors will eventually tour the facilities where small farmers test, dry, cure, trim, process, and package marijuana for distribution; learn about the plant in seminars and pairing dinners; take a csources from farms that grow outdoors without pesticides.
The Flow Cannabis Institute is the first of its kind in California, and it enables small and independent farmers to scale and compete with Big Marijuana brands. But is also offers an opportunity for the company to educate new consumers in the long-stigmatized industry.
There are likely to be many more cannabis ancillary business that form in California to take advantage of the rush of consumers anticipated. American Green purchased the town of Nipton in southern California last year with the same intent of turning the whole town into a marijuana tourism destination.
