With this new twist to a classic that is perfect for Fall, you’ll be able to have this special bread as a snack, dessert, or even as an appetizer and it is great at anytime as part of your breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner! The cooking process involves having some cannabutter on hand so you’ll want to make sure that you have some already prepared in advance of making this tasty baked treat.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup cannabutter from your favorite strain
3 bananas
2 cup flower (1/2 cup wheat 1-1/2 cup white)
1 cup sugar (1/2 brown sugar, 1/2 granulated)
1 egg
1 tsp milk
1/3 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup walnuts, hazel nuts, or almonds (optional)
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
Tools:
A bread pan
Three mixing bowls
An egg beater
A whisk
A wire rack or platter
Process:
To begin, preheat your oven to 325 degrees and start greasing up a 9×5 bread pan in preparation. Next mix together the cannabutter and 1 cup of sugar using your egg beater. Once the mix reaches a nice creamy consistency, begin adding the eggs one at a time making sure to scrape down the edge of your bowl so that it all mixes together well. Once the mix is light and fluffy you can set it aside for now. Then, cut up your bananas into manageable slices, place them in a third bowl, and mash them together while you begin adding the 1/3 teaspoon of vanilla extract and the tablespoon of milk to the fray.
Next up, begin adding the 2 cups of flower, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, the single tablespoon of salt, and whisk them together as thoroughly as possible. Once the dry ingredients have been fully mixed begin combining the three bowls of ingredients together, one bowl at a time. At this point you can optionally add the nuts and/or chocolate chips into the mix if desired. When fully mixed add the final product to your greased up bread pan and let it bake in the oven for about an hour and fifteen minutes or until it reaches a dark golden brown color.
Once the time is up, you can go ahead and carefully remove your pan from the oven and let the bread sit for about 15 minutes to cool before flipping the pan over and removing the bread. For the best results you will want to let your banana bread sit on the wire rack or platter for at least another hour or so to ensure that it is fully cooled off and ready to eat. Add a little warm butter to your bread (if you’d like) and you have yourself a delicious treat that will get you and your friends nicely toasted!
