Las Vegas’ First Marijuana Museum
“High art” will soon be coming to the city of sin. Cannabition Cannabis Museum, which will officially be Las Vegas’s first marijuana museum, is planning on opening its doors to the public this upcoming August 2nd. Described as an “Immersive Cannabis Museum,” Cannabition is hoping to provide visitors with the ultimate cannabis experience. The museum will feature art, tons of interactive displays and exhibits, galleries, and many more activities that are all geared towards marijuana enthusiasts.
One of the museum’s many interesting highlights include the world’s largest bong which had been appropriately dubbed, Bongzilla. A work of art from the Seattle based glass company, Jerome Baker Designs, this absolute unit of a bong will measure out to a ridiculous 22 feet tall when completed! One has to wonder how much herb would it take to properly fill up a bowl-piece for a bong of that size? I don’t know about you but I don’t think that Snoop Dogg, Cheech, Chong or even Willie Nelson would be up to the task of clearing out that bad boy in one shot!
Also said to be on display is a weed bud that is over seven feet tall, a 360-degree theater for some awesome visuals, and several rooms full of interactive art installations, just to name a few. With ticket prices starting at a low and appropriate cost of just $4.20, you really can’t go wrong for what should be a few hours of relatively inexpensive cannabis fun.
While it may seem counter-intuitive and a little lame, enthusiasts can’t actually partake of weed and associated products while visiting the museum. Visitors will therefore want to make sure that they “prepare” properly before stopping by for a visit. However, given how quickly Vegas has taken to legalized recreational marijuana, this shouldn’t be very difficult at all nowadays. There will be plenty of recreational dispensaries to choose from in the area so you won’t be lacking a good selection for where to go to get your next stash of cannabis. Similar to all dispensaries across Las Vegas, you also have to be 21 or older to be able to enter the Cannabition Cannabis Museum so make sure you bring along your ID as well.
In celebration of their grand opening, the folks over at Cannabition have announced that they will be hosting a weed themed scavenger hunt on Sunday, July 1st at 4:20pm PST, along with the help of many other local businesses. Those taking part in the hunt will have to navigate their way around the downtown area’s Fremont Street and the Arts District in order to have the chance to win one of the over forty different prizes that will be available. A fun little activity that will hopefully whet the appetites and spark interest in future visitors.
Be sure to visit the Cannabition Cannabis Museum’s website for more details about what you’ll experience at the museum, along with its different displays as well as for the rules for their upcoming scavenger hunt this upcoming weekend!
