Kristen Bell On Smoking Weed
Kristen Bell, famous for portraying the titular character of the teen noir drama television series “Veronica Mars” has openly admitted to enjoying weed recreationally every once in a while. The 38 year old actress recently appeared on an episode of comedian Marc Maron’s podcast “WTF With Marc Maron” where she confessed to indulging in a little bit of greenery by vaping saying that “I like my Vape pen quite a bit…Weed rules. Weed is my drug of choice, for sure.” Bell went on to explain that she only smokes weed on occasion when she has break from the many hours she spends with her children saying “I can’t do it around my kids, which is a phenomenal amount of hours each week…Once a week, if I’m just exhausted and we’re about to sit down and watch 60 Minutes, why not?”
The star of the current NBC hit comedy series “The Good Place” alongside with veteran actor Ted Danson has had some public history with weed as she had previously played the role Mary Lane in the film “Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical” back in 2005 which was a musical adaptation of the notorious 1936 anti-marijuana propaganda film “Reefer Madness.”
The young actress apparently had not heard that connecting cannabis consumption with any other drug is a big no no these days. Bell admited that while she has never done cocaine before, she wouldn’t necessarily be opposed to trying it out at least once but feels that others might think of her as being too wholesome and straight-laced to ever consider offering any to her “I feel like I would maybe want to do it once before I die,” she explained. “I have that kind of a face and personality that if I’m at a party, no one brings it out. They’re like, ‘Oh don’t bring that around Kristen.’”
Ms. Bell also mentioned that she is not exactly sure if she has actually done ecstasy saying that she was offered some once during a concert while she was attending college but that she was “90 percent sure it was a Tic Tac.” Bell also revealed that her husband of nearly five years, fellow actor Dax Shepard, believes that she would love being on ecstasy. “He just feels you shouldn’t leave earth without trying ecstasy or mushrooms,” she explained. “He wants to have an ecstasy party with all of our friends. He wants to have everyone get an overnight babysitter that we trust, put all the kids together, then come to our house, check your keys, and then have one of his buddies there and just give everybody really good ecstasy and just have us all braid each other’s hair or something.”
Despite Shepard having been sober for 14 years, Bell says that he would be supportive if she decided to try out a few different substances here and there saying that “He doesn’t have a problem with anyone else partaking in anything, provided within reason, that they’re not acting like a complete shmuck…He’s fine if people do things. He likes drugs and alcohol. He just is aware that he lost his privilege with them because he can’t handle it. His brain does not have the chemistry to handle it.”
