Pot-concert poster child (and we mean child in every sense of the word here) Lil Wayne threw a tantrum of epic proportions over the weekend.
On a bill with Ozomatli, C-Kan and B.o.B. during the three-day High Times Medical Concentrates Cup in San Bernardino, California, the headlining rapper was anything but chill in a clip that surfaced on TMZ Sunday morning.

After just a few songs of seemingly feeling the crowd, he was caught looking off to the wings before shouting, “Don’t you ever, ever, ever ask me to do this shit again!” A mic drop immediately followed, leaving event organizer High Times wondering why.
In a statement shared via email with The Cannabist, High Times said:
“[We have] a rich history of bringing superstar musical talent to Cannabis Cups including Wiz Khalifa, The Roots, De La Soul, Wyclef Jean, The Game, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz and many more and puts on nearly a dozen successful events a year all over the country. We have no idea why, after a stellar performance by B.o.B, Lil Wayne suddenly ended his performance after just four songs when he was contractually committed to performing for an hour for the fans. We are truly baffled by why Lil Wayne would do this in front of thousands of Cannabis Cup attendees – in total disregard for his fans – and are awaiting an explanation from his team.”
Instagram videos from fans have filled in a few holes, with one user posting that the crowd was way too high — even for Weezy. All of the attendees at the Southern California Cannabis Cup were required to have state-issued medical marijuana cards.
Another attendee told the fan site Lil Wayne HQ that Wayne said, “You guys are too mellow. I’m from the South, we turn up there.”
As Uproxx reports:
It’s the latest in a series of strange events in Weezy’s world. First, the rapper nearly suffered another seizure and was forced to cancel a concert. Then, he was reportedly involved in an assault after the BET Awards. Of course, storming off stage isn’t going to help his financial situation, as American Express is also after Wayne for a whole grip of money.
The Cannabist reached out to Lil Wayne’s publicist for comment — we’re awaiting a response too.
