Neighbors report fire, cops find home grow of 150 plants, arrest two

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — An illegal growing operation consisting of 150 marijuana plants was discovered at a rural residence east of Colorado Springs after a fire was reported overnight.
KKTV-TV reports that the neighbors saw flames and contacted the Tri-County Fire Department early Wednesday morning.
Fire department officials say the residents were burning trash and the fire was not out of control.
The firefighters were alerted to the marijuana growing on the property, and they contacted the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded and found the marijuana plants. Authorities with the sheriff’s office say the operation was an illegal grow, and two men were taken into custody.
