For the second consecutive year, former Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer is teaming with Colorado nonprofit Realm of Caring to auction off game-day experiences for fans to benefit cannabinoid research.

Fans have an opportunity to purchase VIP tickets to the Broncos’ Nov. 19 game against the Bengals, when former coach Red Miller will be inducted into the Ring of Fame and Terrell Davis will be presented his Pro Football Hall of Fame ring. The package includes a full tailgate with Plummer and some his former teammates, along with pregame sideline access, seating in the lower bowl of Sports Authority Field and a signed football, among other perks.

A limited number “Game Day with the Snake” packages will be available for purchase beginning at 8 a.m. Friday on the Realm of Caring’s website. (https://theroc.us/gameday)

For those already with tickets to the Nov. 19 game, there are also a limited number of “Tailgate with the Snake” packages to join Plummer in a private party before kickoff.

Plummer and Realm of Caring, which provides educational resources and promotes research for cannabis, first offered game-day experiences last year to raise money and awareness. Plummer, along with many other former and current NFL players, has pushed for the allowance of cannabidiol (CBD), a compound in cannabis that is found to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties and is believed to be safer than habit-forming opioids players often receive from teams.

The funds raised from the Game Day experiences will go toward research of cannabinoids’ potential benefits in treating pain as well as the symptoms of traumatic brain injuries and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).
