Christine Sclafani Breaking Down Cannabis Culture | TNMNews.com June 9, 2018
Hi there, this is Christine Sclafani with The National Marijuana News, here to bring you your weekly dose of marijuana culture. Let’s see what people have been talking about on social media lately.
Netflix in Production for New Show Featuring Cannabis Cooking
Starting off with some entertainment news, Netflix is planning on debuting a new competitive cooking show along the same lines as shows like the Iron Chef and Chopped. The difference is that cooks will not only be judged based on the taste and presentation of the meals but also on how high they get the judges. The show, named Cooking On High, will have ten competitors square off trying to prepare tasty dishes that will hopefully win the favor of the four celebrity judges as well as get them pretty baked. It’s about time they took cooking shows to a new level.

Exchanging Nuptials? The Cannabis Strains Best for Weddings
Aah, this is so sweet! With cannabis becoming more mainstream and acceptable here in the U.S. and across the globe, more and more people are being open about their love for marijuana which has lead to a new trend in weed weddings. At these events, the happy couple serve up cannabis treats for their guests such as pre-rolled joints and edibles, as opposed to the usual wedding party favors. With that in mind, we have provided a list of ten cannabis strains that would be perfect for the special occasion, which you can check out at TNMNews.com. While many of these strains are sativas, there are some indicas that work pretty well too, especially when it comes to helping reduce the stress that often accompanies the big day.

Cannabis is Improving People’s Sex Life
Staying on the intimate side of things, marijuana is often thought of as a substance that can enhance many human experiences and sex is no exception. Some enthusiasts claim that if you use the right cannabis strains under the correct conditions, you can remove some of the inhibition and take your bedroom game to the next level! Seeing as how using weed has significant positive effects in other areas of our health, it comes as little surprise that it can also help users have a deeper and more meaningful encounter with their partners or even themselves. With that in mind, you can also find ten ways in which marijuana could potentially improve your sex life at TNMNews.com as well. Just search: How Marijuana Can Improve Your Sex Life.

A Southwest Flight Forced to Land After Passenger Lights Up in the Lavatory
Moving on to some more airline drama. A bold passenger tried to join an entirely different type of “mile high club” recently. During a routine Southwest Airlines flight from San Francisco to Los Angeles, an apparently impatient and none too wise marijuana enthusiast decided to light up a joint in one of the plane’s lavatories despite all of the airline’s warnings against doing so while in flight. While it is not clear yet as to what punishment the high flyer will receive, they will at least be liable for over $3,000 in fines. Listen, I get that flying can be stressful, but it’s not like airlines don’t provide people with plenty of warning not to smoke anything on a plane.

According to Gallup Poll, 64% of Americans Think Consuming Cannabis is Morally Acceptable
Finally, many polls conducted around the country have shown growing support for the legalization of weed nationally, especially for medicinal cannabis. But what about from a moral perspective? According to a recent Gallup poll, two thirds of the country now see smoking weed as morally acceptable as drinking alcohol, gay marriage and having babies out of wedlock. The same poll conducted in 2012 resulted in less than half the country seeing it as morally acceptable. I don’t know about you, but the only thing I find immoral about cannabis is the people that cannot find jobs, get into school or even sitting in prison after getting arrested for simply having a joint in their pocket!
